Hardscaping

Custom Creations Landscape will help you decide on the perfect hardscape for your walkways, walls, patios and garden areas.

Hardscaping is not only practical, it can be very decorative, too.  Hardscape is one of the most important factors when designing your outdoor experience.  It provides a sense of definition and can create separate areas.  One of the best features of hardscape is making use of unusable land.

One of the most common uses for hardscape is walkways.  Walkways can create an inviting entrance into your home, provide a clear path to areas in order to keep your grass areas from being trampled, or a creative way to access different levels of your yard.

Another common use of hardscape is patios.  Your patio should be an extension of your home.  Whether you’re wanting to extend your living space with a covered patio or create a separate space or two throughout your yard, hardscapes are a great way to put your imagination to work.

Walls, or retaining walls, can be another way to make use of hardscape.  Retaining walls don’t have to be big or complex, they can be any size and can offer your yard another layer of usable land.  Smaller walls can offer not only a distinctive boarder around an area, they can also offer a seating area.  Add in lighting to light up your pathways, too.  One of the most creative uses for a retaining wall is adding another layer to your backyard.

Garden areas are another area to make great use of hardscape.  Paver stones can be used in a creative way to design a path through a garden area.  A small pad of paver stones can be created for a quiet sitting space.  Add paths, steps and a water feature for the perfect place to relax after a hard day of work.
